Words Not Spoken
I reflect back on final words not spoken between you and I
I stand before you with tearful eye remembering the devotion of brotherhood we once shared
We dared not planning for the present or the tomorrows to come, but living in the now, we vowed to have each others back
We cruised St.Louis streets our adolescent playground of choice. Our voices ring in the night lighting skies up with laughter, as you smile down on me from the herafter...steady mobbin!
Wild times we took part of, for this was our brotherly love displayed in memories inside of soul that can never be touched
You see...genuine friendship is a precious thing that bond two individuals as one, for we move on building trust like building blocks locked that can never be destroyed
You will forever be my boy, although I failed you with last words not spoken when you were here in earthly flesh
No excuses, no lies, no regrets I could of reached out more. Swallowed up in life raising kids, putting in work on the daily somehow words not spoken became more and more
But...I always cherish our friendship from long miles apart, for you will always be a part of me...
Forever
