As an incredible shadowed nation within a nation
Let us forever be aware of our unique position—
Being a nation outside the established “Outsiders”:
The other “Socs” in America’s politico-economic divide;
In the present political rumble, it is daily being proven
That birds of the same feather, do indeed flock together;
Just look at the present line-up of oppositional “Socs”.
We may have paled the color bar, but have failed
To white-out white control of the American Dream.
Yet, let us not allow nightmares to overshadow our dream;
Let us continue to live awake in the pursuit of its reality.
With the integrity of our faith and higher than hope esteem
Let us continue to keep our eyes on the prize as we struggle on.
Let us not wallow in the apathy of despair and seeming defeat;
Rather, let us be aware that the powerful are often not those
Who lead but are primarily those who decide who does.
Let us become aware of the realization that as a united front
We are the holders of the most powerful casting decision choice
Particularly when forged with that held by other hued constituents.
Collectively, we are the Patriots cable of making constitutional intent
The reality the preamble and the constitution penned so long ago.
Indeed, the inside rumble of the “Outsiders” and the “Outsides”
May be over, but the electoral battle for political equity has just begun:
We have once given American a Black President; this time a Vice will do!*
