I'm safe over here I don't know about over there I'm alert and aware I'm good over here I'm staying in place I'm good over here indefinitely I fit in over here over there I'm out of place where they don't like my face over there it's all about race I'm good by the train I'll patiently wait for it to pass stop backup stall on the tracks crossover and come back I'm good over here not sure about over there I was born over here raised over here grew up over here when I die I'll still be here don't want to stand out don't need the spotlight singleling me out for not being white it's dangerous over here like it is dangerous everywhere I rather be over here where people look like me not over there where I don't share the same texture of hair over here I know what to expect over here I don't have to be a subject of hatred or be disrespected for no reason taking me for prey during hunting season I'll be over here on this side on my side of the divide watching trains go by standing on the other side not trying to risk my life to cross over
