the one that won't sit down
the one that's always loud
the one your mother warned you about
when you were a child
look around that ones with you now
it's always the one you know
you can trust the one you trust
more than the one you should
the one who will bring you down
look around it's the one
who always hangs around
the one ready when something
goes down the one who will
always throw the first stone
when you get locked up
that's the one who will be home

A Driving ForceI rung the bell the stop light came on I guess the driver didn't hear driver let me off right here something's going on in the atmosphere I can't get online I keep trying to make a call the phone keep dying I got a funny feeling these are serious times sent umpteen messages no replies too scared to watch can't close my eyes driver let me off I'm petrified please let me off for the thousand time I swear I'm about to lose my mind it's something in the air people looking at me strange it ain't got wings it ain't no plane no matter how much I complain no matter how I try to explain the driver won't stop this thing trapped inside no way to escape surrounded by villains ain't got no cape missed the stop the driver made me late trying to explain it to my mate is like apologizing for a making a mistake it's not my fault I rung the bell in enough time to get off I'm not the blame it's the drivers fault I'm in this mess and can't get out no matter what I say the alibi sounds like a lie I t...  |

How To Flowthe best advice I been given is "just write" and it's the best advice I can give to you don't think about it just write a bunch of stuff keep your head down and don't let up until there's no more room for words grab another sheet of paper and do it all over again do it until there's no more ink left in the pen if you can then grab another pen and do it all over again again and again until the process is effortless |

Forgive Youforgive you and go on to pursue a better you if you stumble if you fall if you get clumsy and make a mistake forgive you and follow through if you run into a dead end find another way to go if you fall into a hole find away out of it if you run into a brick wall it might take some time but take the time to find away around it forgive you and continue if you stop for a brief rendezvous that leaves you hurt alone and feeling blue forgive you and give your wounds time to heal if you turn back because someone called you to reroute you attract your attention to distract you see it through forgive you then proceed to learn from it all you will grow from it all the plan is to make you strong forgiveness is in you to forgive you |
It Hurt To SayI used to have friends that's what I called them time has a way of telling it all were they really there for me is this truly happening thinking of all the time I spent spending time with nothing to show for the time spent that's how come I'm bent on being alone after all the time spent being alone sick and tired of wondering what did I do wrong knowing all along you ain't gotta do nothing to nobody for somebody to do you wrong my mama told me "you gotta trust somebody" it went through one ear and out the other word to mother we not like each other she stayed home I went out and discovered uncovered truth untold written letters I can't unfold the family tree don't mean much to me lost everything I love it's just a bunch of leaves it takes a lot of things to get me to smile when I do it's worth all the pain |
Revolvingwe gotta go we can't stay here we all got a time day and year to go some of us might go tomorrow some of us might leave today some us could be leaving in the next hour or so we don't know when how nor where we sure don't know where we going some of us will be prepared some of us won't be ready life is about coming and going some say we know why we came some ask how come we here all the questions that rarely get answered like all the problems that hardly get solved what do we want why do we want it what would it do for us is it what we really want can we do without it if we can why do we want it it's like we come on a mission with a job we're commissioned to do but somewhere along the trail we get lost in the cosmic stew some of us will go soon some of us will go later some will depart some where up or down the road some us might live to be old and become forgetful there goes what we knew what did we know what do we know we know we don't know nothing but we gotta go |
Now I See ItI'm glad about a lot of things but for the most part I'm glad the lights are still on I know what it's like to sit in the dark for days waiting for Center Point Energy to come through like the mailman on the first of the month electricity is a necessity especially when it's 110 degrees can't turn on the AC cause it run on electricity all the ice cream is melting in the deep freeze the seemingly quiet cozy community is turning into a hostile environment I'm behind the scene loading a shotgun preparing for home defense in the yard eyes on the fence open the gate and get blowed away it's sounds a bit extreme it's not a dream but has been seen on a movie screen these experiences are predictively expected to become reality probably sooner than expected it's been tested don't know if we passed it we still here so I guess we did yet those who left we're often told their in a better place than we are I pray my mother prays more than me I meditate more than she does though she tried to m... |
