Reflections On A Slow Falling Spring Rain
Slow falling raindrops
Add dampness to the spring air
And quenching water to fertile soil
Nourishing resurrected foliage
Preparing to reflect renewed rainbow
Colors and the release of glowing pollen
Into the coming bright sunlight
Return from its winter interlude.
Albeit the pollen be a nagging offspring
Of the season, it will receive accommodating
Welcomes denied to the uninvited corona virus.
Indeed, the spring has its sad and its happy beauties
That brings relief to tested muscles and wintered bones
That somehow survived the chilling pain of the freezing cold.
