Natural Affection

She Calls...

Waking up and the light turns on

I wash my hands to begin another day

grateful, I swallow up a glass of water

turn around to put on my new slippers.

Breakfast eaten, I wash up, and my hands

dressed in humaness I'm free to greet humanity

concerns of safety afar off--the sky won't fall!

turn back to take out trash, sweep, then mop.

Locking the front door I see her, life calls

brightness amid windy, in me arises butterflies

and half smiling like I'm tip-toeing, I glance

worthy I am, we are, there are benefits aplenty!

Turn the key and enter, after dark, my house

reaching quickly for the first sofa pillow

this grateful days dance shall come tomorrow

for us all, maybe butterflies too, as she calls!

Natural Affection

When faithfulness, obedience, trust, and patience

is put on the back burner, and not in the forefront,

then I feel that ego and pride will stand beside you

and you'll feel that you can do anything you want.

The spirit within shall at once become startled

what then? Shall it relieve you of natural affection?

Not necessarily, no. It can however reveal truth

of the narrow roadways for a natural direction.

Let the eyes of truth, amid courage of the soul arise

step into life's shoes that fit and doesn't hurt so,

confusion of ignorance and its illusions shalt not be

nor shall it exist in God's glory, peace will peek and flow.

Then and only then, you may with strength begin to run along with winds of change to be carried like a babe, God through our Lord Jesus the Christ will expect this, selfishness shall bow down always, because you gave. No trut...
