Hostile

The things that make us break 

The feelings of pain and heart ache 

The things that create on us wounds

Some heal fast others not very soon 

That same feeling of being hit where it hurts

Lingers so long that you’ll feel like a pile of dirt 

The anger, the hatred that breezes in the air 

As it infects so many that’s its second nature to be unfair 

So tense and dreadful the things we see

The devastation that comes forth how we wish it wouldn’t be 

Red filled eyes and gritting of teeth

Boiling down and being passed along as it starts to begin in the seeds underneath 

The most difficult of strikes comes from the knife that is unseen 

The bullets that fly unnoticed towards our eyes and lands right in between 

Bleeding out but unable to patch the wound  up by hand 

Sound things

You ever realize something?

How natural you can do something 

How well it comes to mind 

Almost instinctively 

Then once things are different 

Those same habits, qualities and mind set

Suddenly become foreign 

It’s like what is this 

Have I done this before?

Why can’t I do it?

It was so easy before?

What’s happened??!!??

And just like that the things familiar 

Become unfamiliar 

And when we try to obtain them

Or rather relearn or improve 

It’s much harder to sink in sometimes 

The mind has changed 

The heart pumps differently 

From consuming water to drinking soda

Loving what is sweet and deadly 

Over what’s  sour and beneficial

Why the odd comparison?

Is ...

Hero

To save a life from danger 

To keep the innocent safe 

To protect my loved ones from strangers

And to keep from becoming to them chafe

Sticking to what’s right as I should 

Up holding the values brought up within me

I give my all to achieve now not lingering on what could 

The need to help others flows so deep inside like the sea

Liberating those in trouble and helping them become free

However....nothing ever comes easy...not without sacrifices 

Everything is stocked up and labeled with a variety of  prices 

A noble path yet...where does your happiness lie?

Self compromising even if it means you die?

Nothing wrong.....self sacrifice this does involve 

You the detective as the problem of others you try to solve 

A hero....honest hearted, strong,a pillar for others in their time of ne...

Bottom of the barrel

If choosing to live was much like a race I’d no doubt finish last

If everything revolves around time I’d be forgotten in the past

I hear so much about First place man it must be great 

As much as I’d like to finally reach it all I can do is wait 

Being stuck at the bottom so you can understand how easy it is to be over looked

It’s always been this way and if it was forever i wouldn’t be shook

Looking down from the bottom you look at all the other pieces get chosen 

And as time carries on dead last I seem to be frozen 

Despite  always being the late pick

I don’t make a fuss as around i like to stick 

Sometimes the first isn’t always helpful or even available 

Even those who seem to always be around don’t even try to make you stable
