You have an honest face,

a soft smile a good heart

its morning a great time for us all

to be thankful, to reflect upon 

 what we have been gifted with

start fresh, counting blessings

 all over again

from nothing but love and the gift of life

taking times we have been hurt in stride

counting them twice

once for the opportunity to receive

a different blessing with understanding

time is short. we have work to do

Even a blazing comet

goes into transition
as it explodes and comes to rest

falling east to west creates a sonic boom

through forest meadows past
cloaked in fog of lost moments memories

The Awakening

Let those 
whose hearts are pure 

endure the suffering 
that's sure to come

Even as, the wicked
who draw the sword

to harm the least of us
soon find, the same 

The ill winds come 
to fall among us

cold and heartless
abruptly darken skies

fill the edges of our emotions
in a foreboding way

lightning rides the storm
issues a warning as it arrives 

on the horizons with a fury
striking clouds and earth 

with a vengeance born of
unanticipated malevolence

fulfill a prophesy 
endlessly extending

threatening to expose 
those whose instantaneous conversion

to a faith, any hope conveniently awaiting
promises of a salvation ...

they hope can be bought 
on lay-away

somehow, remembering 
sad relics of their you...

One moment without measure

As a stranger you touched a nerve
beautifully

though i don't play

from the imprint of your energies

brought memories of
whispers to my soul
