Black Brotha, Strong Brotha, there is no - one above ya! I want ya, to know that, I'm here for you - that's forever true (In my Angie Stone sangin voice)
Love to our . . . . Black Brothas
Just want to take the time to lift you up to let you know that you are LOVED
To let you know that you are valued and you are significant, no matter how much Society may try to devalue and emasculate you.
I see the very things that holds you together.
I see you struggle through the stormy weather.
I know it ain't always been easy.
Though I don't know what it is to be a Black Man.
I want you to know that I do try hard to understand.
I see all the small things that you do. . . .
Picking the kids up, cooking late night meals, paying the bills, working two jobs so we can have, things we as women take for granted.
For all those small unnoticed things you do.
All the sacrifices that you make
I want you to know that I appreciate you.
I know it doesn't seem that anyone takes time to see pays attention
But just know.
That your STRUGGLES are appreciated, your PAIN is appreciated, your SILENT TEARS are appreciated, your SUPPORT is appreciated, your PATIENCE is appreciated, your LIFE is appreciated.
Look how far you have come.
To far to turn back now.
Everything this cold world has thrown your way
I see you doing your best, I know that at times things get stressed
I know at times you want to give in
Feeling nobody appreciate Black Men
Take a moment to reflect back on what our ancestors Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Medgar Ever, Bobby Seale, John Lewis, just to name a few
What they sacrificed for me and you... To be were we are today...
That alone should encourage you to not ever give up yourself
For us to never give up on each other.
To be each others support
And always each others peace
I want to remind you, if no else has
That you are Beautiful and Essential and most importantly you are appreciated
I want to encourage you to not give in when the hardships of this cold world comes knocking, when they say you can't, even when they try to take your last breathe
Keep your head high when they say you are nothing.
Keep pressing forward when you feel like giving up.
Your PRESENCE is needed
Your Leadership is needed
Your Essence is the very soul of the Black Family home.
So I ask and it's definitely time my Black Brothas that you take your seats back on the THRONE 👑
Love to my Black Brotha
