A foolish man am I
Love was in my life
we had a solid relationship
Sincerity, communication and passion
was our everyday
I had an affair
A stupid man am I
Love had beauty, brains and body
wit, sexiness and humor
a perfect fit from an imperfect goddess
I had an affair
An unappreciative man am I
Now I am dating regret
her friends are pride, impatience
stubbornness, impetuousness and jealousy
now my days and nights are
one-sided conversations, arguments
empty feelings and even emptier emotions
I miss missing Love
I had an affair
A sad man am I
Why oh why?
How can an intelligent man be so dumb?
How did Lust overcome me?
God blessed me with all
I needed and wanted in a woman
A Heavenly gift I have wasted
please forgive me
I used to wander deep in Love's eyes
in her heart and soul
Now I am lost
everywhere and everyday

I don't understand what you won't say
I am at a loss for what wasn't heard
My ears went forward and your voice idled
What happened to our perfect love?
Our passion filled kisses? Soft Love? Deep talks?
I can't talk with just myself about
what you weren't saying
I can't help us if you don't help me
What you won't share, makes me without
What you won't give, I can't receive
I can't understand the not expressed
I feel misdirected by your purposeful non-informing
I am disinformed by your leaving our communication
The distance of not understanding is a misunderstanding in itself
The worse part of misunderstanding is it is imposed upon me
Not the not understanding of two people
trying to figure out a confusion
This is a disgreement in understanding
it is not innocent

my past was not yesterday
tomorrow is not my future
my future is not tomorrow
my dreams are nightmares

because my memories are no longer
everything is too far away
no matter where I am
It's hard to forget what I know
It's easier to know what I forgot
don't know if I am asleep or awake
