the dog barked at the cat
looking through the trash
searching for something
to write a poem from scratch
the dog growled and snarled
while the cat scrawled
on the wall throughout
the night underneath
the skylight the dog got
hit with a shoe converted
to looking for something
to chew laugh out loud
is all the cat could do
