Black People Rise Up, Rise Up Black People

CATEGORY

For thousands of years mankind has been in existence
Living and dying, civilizations come and go, giving time little resistance
But no race experienced such success, simultaneously just as much unrest
prejudice, being misunderstood, simultaneously experiencing God's glory saying:"He's the best!"

Black people it's time to take a stand for yourself
To no longer be put on the back burner on some white man's corner shelf
To no longer except remedial tasks or crumbs from massa's table
But instead take back what's rightfully ours, because we're willing and God's able

Remove the blinders from your eyes, stop feeding our children lies
Instead love our youth by telling the truth, and let's raise the roof
and stand against poverty and low self esteem
Stop hiding behind false piety and rekindle Dr. King's dream

Not only thanking God for letting us sing "Free at Last"
But to also praise Him too, giving that ol devil a swift kick in the a$$
Let's band together as one, using this world as one big steeple
Black People Rise Up, Rise Up all you Black People!!!
