DETACHMENT
IN THE TIME THAT IT HAS TAKEN TO WRITE THIS
I HAVE FOUND THAT 10,000 THOUGHTS AND
EMOTIONS ARE IN COMPLETE CONTRADICTION
TO THE TITLE OF THIS POEM
DETACHMENT
The inability to release certain thoughts and emotions from a previous encounter, experiencing those same emotions either consciously or unconsciously, cause and effect of a memory that lingers good or bad or indifferent, which causes more thought being paid to the past, not what you feel in the present. Again the inability to separate yesterday’s emotions from what is actually in the now leading to The question; how to sustain momentum for the present and not create a fantasy and illusion of what you want to happen in a situation that is playing a role in your head, trying to project the outcome of what you think is going to happen trying to anticipate a person reaction, to something that was said or left unsaid that happened yesterday.
