Don't let the bread get stale came about when I had this huge crush on my lil sweetheart at work. I began putting snacks in his desk, basically things I know he likes. Well, I noticed the snacks were low, but I was being lazy and didn't go to the store.
One day at home, the bread got stale, which meant now I had to go to the store. I finally went to Walmart, the snacks were only $10.00, but I ended up spending $95.00.
That's why I don't like to go to the store, because you get things you were not going in there to get.
So this is how this all came about, because the bread got stale.
A couple of days later a different meaning of don't let the bread get stale came about. At Jayda's book signing everyone took turns sharing a little something about themselves.
I spoke on how I love to write poetry and inspired them by reciting my poem, "The Strength of a Woman."
One woman's husband lost interest and was having an affair.
The other woman spoke on how she takes a shower, lotions up and puts something sexy on for her man and how she has different ways to keep the spice in their marriage. At the time she was speaking, she was big pregnant! She was not trying to have no boring moments in her relationship. So to me, keeping that spice was her way of not letting the bread get stale.
By the end of the week, I had a spiritual version of "Don't Let the Bread Get Stale."
I had begun reading an "Our Daily Bread" booklet. I found the title to be very interesting. I read John 6 vs 32-35… Most assuredly I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. Then they said to Him, "Lord, give us this bread always." And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger and he who believes in Me shall never thirst."
I thought about how hungry I have been for the Lord, seeking to know Him even more. But for the sinners, those who fall short and are lost from His word. The ones who are too busy, the back sliders, the ones who once had a relationship with God, or the ones who are angry with God for whatever reason. Their storage is empty. These people have let their spiritual bread get stale, or maybe they never had any spiritual bread.
I say to you my friend, be hungry for the bread of life every day, go to church, seek God, begin to fellowship again. Repent, release and God will restore.
As to how to not let the bread get stale is to stay prayed up, read the Bible, trust in the Lord with all your heart, learn and apply His word and you will soon begin to grow again spiritually.
Isaiah 55 vs.2 says, Why do you spend money for what is not bread and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to me and eat what is good and let your soul delight in abundance.
In the Lord's prayer Luke 11 vs.3, it says, Give us this day, our DAILY bread.
Yes, eat the bread daily.
I am asking God to continue to use me to help show someone the way and help fill their shelves with fresh bread.
I am also asking, if you are a believer, make yourself available, not to do your will, but to do the will of God.
In Matthew 14 vs 16 it says, But Jesus said to them, "They do not need to go away. YOU give them something to eat."
Help me to feed them. Do not turn your back on the lost, or the sinners. Don't look down on them. Remember, you were once lost, you too were once a sinner. There are people out there who don't know to seek first the Kingdom of God.
Tweet a Bible verse, smile, uplift, be kind or encourage someone today. Jesus fed 5,000 with two fish and five loaves of bread. Just imagine how many you can help feed by just sharing His word into the lives of others.
