Did you do Lyft today?
The word “Lyft” has a whole new meaning. This is something we all should be doing, every day, throughout the day.

The other day, my son said he was going do Lyft. Now mind you, no matter how many times I have heard him say that, for some reason, at this particular moment, my thinking shifted to “Lift.” I then said, make sure when you do that, that is what you do.
And he said, “Whatcha mean?” I said, “When you Lyft, make sure you “Lift.” Meaning, Lyft someone up with words of encouragement.
Lyft them up with a smile. Lyft someone up by being pleasant and having a positive attitude. Do something extra nice, just because.
You can pray for them, hold the door open for them, say please and thank you, speak kind words, use words to build up a person, not tear them down. If you are a barber, cut someone hair for free, one free haircut won’t put you in bankruptcy court, pay for someone’s meal today. Don’t criticize or talk down on a homeless person or a person who may “at the moment” be a lil less fortune than you. Get out of that mindset, “MY money.” Or, I’m not giving him “my last.” Why would you even speak that on yourself, “Your last?” Don’t you know, when you cheerfully give and release, God will restore. God will make sure you will NEVER suffer nor lack by well doing. Try it and see. And whether we have money or not, each one of us is blessed in our own way to be a blessing. God did not wake us up and give us this day to complain and bicker. Make good of THIS day given, because you might not get another one. Be Grateful and Thankful.

You can be homeless, but humble. You can have all the money and yet all the problems. Your cupboard can be full, but your soul is cold and empty. You can have nothing and yet, have everything.

Being a Lyft driver means going around “picking UP” different people. But the Lyft I am talking about doesn’t require you to have to have a car. You can Lyft anywhere, when you walk, when you run, when you jump, when you fly, when you sit, when you stand. You can pick someone up by simply extending out your hand. You will always have opportunities throughout your day where you can Lyft someone up. Take advantage of those opportunities. You can be talking on the phone to a customer service person and Lyft them up just by saying, “Have a great day.”

So yeah, we all now have another job title. Let us be our own Lyft associate.  So, when somebody ask, “Where’re you going?”
You can say, “I’m going do Lyft.” (SMILE)
