Deliverer of this life that breathes air.
Nurturer and teacher of first steps.
To wake in the middle of the night and give care.
Tired and worn, you generate the energy of love to
make funny faces.
And re-energize from the smile you put on mine.
As you watch over the process of maturation.
You stand guard, and attempt to protect from even the
scraping of a knee.
Some falls you missed, but you can't be everywhere
at once, though i know you tried.
And when the time came to move on, you cried.
As if feeling guilty, hoping you did provide.
Enough love, teaching and guidance, in order to survive.
In this world, that can be cruel at times.
I've fallen, but got back up, because you taught me how.
Some of which you don't know of.
But those failures aren't yours, there mine.
Surely you do wonder, how i feel about you.
And if I appreciate all you have done.
That's why I took the time to find these words.
To let you know, even though you had your ups
and downs.
You kept it seperate and made sure you were there.
Though we didn't agree, and at times didn't speak.
My eyes see you unblemished.
And my heart is full from your love.
And though I have learned new things.
I am still here today, because of how well you did
as my mother.

I love you with all my heart
