you told me I went too far
I was on foot not in a car
I ran out of gas under the
overpass station was miles
ahead I didn't have a can
pockets were thin I fell
behind trying to please you
I miserably failed myself
with out trying my eyes wet
I'm not crying I'm drowning
you're overwhelming me
it all can't be my fault alone
you always blaming me
you know the shame in me
where it hurts you know
the pain in me I gave you
the weapon to form against me
didn't think you would
use it as if it were in case
of emergency you knew
I was in pain I told you
"you're hurting me"
I went there but didn't go
far enough to show you
I had enough of your
button pushing trigger
pulling stuff I told you , you
gone miss me when I go
five minutes up the road
you was on the phone
telling me "come home"
I can't now I got a full tank
that means I'm gone
