There's a villain in every story -
And wicked witch of the West,
A wicked witch of the East
An evil stepmother, a monster, a beast.
What does this villain look like?
Some people might ask,
It doesn't always have a witch's broom
A black cape or a big and scary mask.
You see, I have a villain of my own
But she is kind of hard to see-
She has a really good disguise
She actually looks a lot like me.
Mirror mirror on the wall
Who is the fairest of them all,
Or maybe it's monster monster inside of me
Tell me tell me what do you see?
Bring me apart
Tell me to shreds,
Make me a prisoner
Inside of my own head.
Tell me who I am
Or tell me who I'm not,
Tell me what I need
Or tell me what I've got.
You take away my confidence
You take away my self-esteem,
You caused me to fear judgment
And you make me yell and scream.
You taught me with your words
Like this is some kind of a game,
But when it comes on to it
There's nobody else to blame.
This monster is not a demon
Or a devil sent from hell,
It is not a witch or demon
This monster is myself.
I try to fight it
But it will just not stop,
It's never going to seize
It's mean, it's a liar.
I AM THE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST !
There's a villain in every story
A statement that is true,
How do you kill the monster
Whenever it lives inside of you?
