Brush my tongue
across
cracked lips
see if I
can savor you
but
all I taste
is pain

Chris says: Use moisture on the crackI lips at night with cocoa butter chapstick. Rub acros the crack gently with baby wipes. When the crack heals, the lips would taste a flavor instead of agony. May God bless you with tomorrow. Continue with your poems. Your writing has image |

Lifetime
I think I misunderstood when you said we were God’s plan, fated maybe you meant faded you know that this love we share would dull or perhaps, be colorless without light, like a lunar eclipse or when we declared this love for a lifetime you meant for a moment in time I could lament on our split but I much rather reminisce on the good times like how you took your hand in mine as we walked through our park i remember the moment my chestnut glazed eyes peered down unable to tell our hands apart do you recall? or like your love for me have memories of us faded too? it’s okay if you’ve forgotten cause i’ll remember for a lifetime.
