Once again we’re called to ponder
The fate of our faith; not to question
God, rather, to seek his divine wisdom
And sacred guidance in this life’s testing
Sojourn whose course we continue to tread.
Today, we and justice have become as
The mothers and child who stood before
Solomon on that testing-decision day;
But we need not be as the true mom was.
Rather, we today need to be as were Daniel
In the lion’s den! as Shadrach, Meshack and
Abednego, were in the fiery furnace! as was
Jacob in his dream; as was Solomon between
The pillars: - Indeed, we must be as were
Deborah and Mary Magdalene! Today
As we have witnessed the crucifixion
Of justice, let us not be dismayed;
They also crucified our savior, Christ!-
So let us not be dismayed, for it has already
Been scripturally implied that justice shall roll
On like a river, and righteousness shall come
To be as if a never-failing stream: - (Amos 5:24)
Thus, let us today, continue on the battlefield
With the breastplate of courage; the sword of
Redemption in one hand; that of restoration in
The other; and the dove of resurrection poised
On our shoulders, as we await the promise.
Let us forever remain regaled in the lambskin
Of faith, hope, and the redeeming love of God.
Chauvinistic man has yet to learn that “…the Lord
Loves the just and will not forsake his faithful…“
(Psalm 37:28):-
