Grandma’s Prayers

Kids It's Time To Eat!

My Grandmother Would Scream From The Porch

To Us Children Playing Outside In The Sun Blazing Like A Torch

One Bye One We Entered The Kitchen With Noses Full Of That Southern Homecooking Aroma

Now Y'all Wash Up Before Sitting At My Table

One Bye One We Did Just As She Requested

11 Of Us Children All Clean Sitting Around The Dinner Table

My Grandmother Would Say Grace

I Remember So Vividly As A Child The Passion In Her Prayers Asking GOD To Protect Us, To Shield Us From Being Torn By Evil, And May Blessings Follow Us For All The Days Of Their Lives.

I Think Back In Those Days And Say Think God For My Grandmother

For I Believe That Her Prayers Were A Part Of The Many Successes And Accomplishments In Our Lives.
