A NEW NORMAL RETRIBUTION RETRIEVAL...

(Apropos of “By Whatever Means Necessary”)

The waxing moon reflects the coming fulfillment.

Although a change is coming, it will not be back to

normal; for what shall become the new normal—

of when old things were—can’t be allowed to block

the coming of justice to us as we continue our

struggle against viral oppressive forces.

                                 1.

Here in the strangeness of the so-called

idealistic millennium with its unexpected

new normal, old oppressive forces gather

to contemplate new shackling ways and

means of maintaining unjust demonic power

over a bewildered citizenship presently being

naturally and politico-economically bombarded

with hurricane-like earth-shattering oppressive

new normal trials and tribulations popping-out

of the Pandora Box-like pandemonium of the day.

                                    2.

Thus, politico-economically as well as culturally,

we who remain one of the greatest victims of

the normality of nature and the abnormality of

oppressive human nature must again be aware

that the only way to survive present-day oppression

is still by whatever means deemed to be necessary.

Just as in days of old—when bigoted oppressive acts

were considered normal—in this, the new normal,

we must likewise gather to contemplate whatever

new means necessary will be required to counteract

and neutralized new normal atrocities.

                                             3.

In this new day begun, as we stand before the gates

of hell, we must—by whatever means necessary—continue

to be resilient in our battle against the decimating oppressive

forces that continue—in the so-called new-normal—to make

our lives a ground zero/walking dead lifestyle; and this

beloved is no panic-driven exaggeration but just a statement

of reality. How long ago was the Emancipation Proclamation

released? How long ago has it been since the Jim Crow nest

was supposed to have been ripped out of our tree of life; how

long has it been since the “jelly bean jar” was smashed to pieces?

And tell me, how long has that arch been bending towards the

blind goddess of justice who still remains as elusive as ever?

                                                4.

Check it out! with the ever-burning candle flame of faith,

we must continue to cuddle reeds of hope and be renewed

and strengthened in our chase of the elusive blind goddess—

elusive as the tick-tock of time—with a sacred song of a new

day begun in the rolling sea of redemption, as we continue

to ride wrinkling waves over sand bars of injustice as we froth

onto the shores of equality; although we have walked through

death’s shadows—fearing no evil—let us not take God’s mercy

for granted; rather, let us continue to be deeply concerned with

today’s variant evil threats bringing pandemonium into our lives.

                                                5.

In the coming seasons of discontentment with natural trials

and tribulations—coupled with the pandemic evil nature of the

oppressive behavior of those of the snake in the garden—let us

not be dismayed “eaters” of the “apples” delusion and apathetic

weariness.  Indeed, let us not allow ourselves to become victims

of stormy winds of paranoia that the deceivers are now blowing.

As we move on to face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, let

us do so in a spirit of awareness with our eyes on the prize and

our minds on the ways and means necessary for us to get there

as we remain “on the battlefield of the Lord” with our shields of

hope in one hand and our swords of determinations in the other

faithfully stilling every threatening oppressive storm out there

seeking to destroy us.

                                                6.

Let us forever be mindful that our children are eagerly watching,

listening and seeking to understand that they will be understood

when time comes for them to walk in the spiritual footprints we

must leave behind for them to thread in their new normal shoes

whose soles shall be as resistant and resilient as their ancestors’

souls were in trekking onward by whatever means needed to be.
