There was a time when families stayed, prayed, and stuck together
Now it's like no one knows each other
There was a time that children by themselves could walk to the store
In this time they go missing so not anymore
There was a time when drugs were used but mostly, weed
Now they are mixing drugs and killing the feens
There was a time when TV's were off at 10
Now the TV channels never end
There was a time when neighbors were your friend
Not you have to watch neighbors and your own back again
There was a time when you saw street lights
Most of the children would be in
Now the parents are scared to discipline
There was a time when every Sunday meant grandma's cooking
big family dinner
But when grandma passed, that was the ending
There was a time when children always played outside
Now they have the games that keep them and their minds bottled inside
There was a time when we all had pagers
Running to the phone booth to call people back
Now they have cellular phones that have taken over that.
There was a time when no one knew what was going on inside your home
Social media and fake friends have made everything known
That used to be the days
Welcome to The New Age
