Pouring down
Like the Noah forty day downpour
Covering my earth
overflowing my seas
blackness
my vision
no form seen before me
your touch
sending signals to my brain
bypassing detour signs
and blinking street lights along the way
just missed a collision
from something coming from the other direction
ignoring the speed limit
lightning strikes
unseen
its thunder stirs my silence
a momentary twitch
and I am upright once again
floods
I hear the waves outside
calling my name
public address announcer
SCREAMING
"next in line"
it ends
blackness gone
the carnage lay before me
seas
receding back to the arid of yesterday
your touch
the signals returning to the acceptable speed limits
pedestrians
safe to once again cross the streets
"good morning, baby..."
