This is the day my savior
Has given unto me
Walking upright
Perpendicular
Through the shadows
Of deception and death
Yet am I glad and rejoicing
For despite the waves
Of oppressive trials
And tribulations
I am abreast still waters
And the well of my anxiety
Is empty and the cistern
Of my hopes is overflowing
With peace, love, and joy
And my eyes remain
On the prize as my spirit
Continues to fuel my soul
With overcoming faith
That despite the inundated
Oppressive disappointments
We will overcome
As we continue to sojourn
In the spirit of our Ancestors
Who foot-printed the way
That we must likewise do
For generations to come:-
Indeed, may Earth and Heaven
Ring with our clanging echoes
Vibrating: “Better is
The end of a thing than the
Beginning thereof…” (Ecc. 7: 8)
P.S.: Peace and Love.
