-I often marvel at the thought.
-What if I was 18 during the 70’s.
-I am a 80s baby being born in 75’.
-So I do have pictured with bellbottoms, butterfly collars and an afro.
-And since my Papi was a “Black Pantherâ€
-I remember his poster of Vince Mathews and Wayne Collett at the Olympic Games of 72.
-It was then that he explained to me “The power of the fistâ€.
-He told me of the Kent State Murders and things of that nature.
-Now, my momma was still a flower child.
-Oh how she hated war.
-Oh how she loved her green.
-She burned flags and bras.
-So between my Momma and Papi.
-I was saying, “Peaceâ€
-Real militantly.
-My Granny Big Mike’s a holy roller.
-I loved staying at her house.
-Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggart, Oral Roberts, and Jerry Falwell didn’t bother me.
-There’s gotta be a place better than this.
-Then there was “The Man†Poppa Settles.
-Quiet and Powerful.
-Factory Worker, Fisherman, Bowler.
-Nothing fazed him.
-Not even the 70’s.
-Me? I woulda got lost in the sauce.
-I woulda made it at least once into Studio 54 in platform shoes.
-I woulda seen Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock too.
-Drugs had a hold onto me this millennium so it woulda back then.
-I’ve seen “Deep Throat†“Secrets†and “The Devil in Miss Jones†but I really woulda liked to see em at an adult movie theatre.
-But Saturday Night Fever was the best.
-Next, Up in Smoke.
-And I love that “Rocky Horror Picture Showâ€
-I don’t think bathhouses woulda been my thing though.

Why The Militarization of Police?-Since the government played the role of bank. -The police started with nightsticks now they have tanks. -It all starts at the Pentigon & it's 1033 Program. -And ends with city streets resembling wars on foreign land. -So what are the rules of engagement? -As these armed city soldiers that were once police march the pavement. -Fitted with kevlar vest, M16's, teargas, pepperspary, humvees, Lrad sound cannons & vehicles resistant to land mines. -To serve search warrants & arrest those that will be sentenced with a payable fine. -But....why the militarization of police? -Officers are not tutored to handle this type of arsenal. -The gap between soldier & officer is significantly marginal. -Posse Comitatus has been breached by a loop hold. -With this murders are getting away scot-free when they shouldn't even be paroled. -What was once a judgement call is now default...  |

Mental Floss-Enters the next patient but patient he gets a chip when he’s gone off the sauce. -Well at least that’s the word of mouth, Boss.-At the cusp of bonding he provides chaos.-So we can see others brace themselves for this passion flop.-Practicing makes perfect?
