In the age of their awareness—
In the drama of their lives—they
Cast us as simple castaways in order
To justify their demon-like treatment
Of we hued beings, stolen from our home.
They had no idea that those ancestors
Who chose not to jump and make
Holes in the sea, but rather to sail-walk
Upon its surface were allegorizing a message…
Not to be out-done, they too allegorized:
Remember,” Give me liberty or give me death”
And the accommodating outcome thereof;
Indeed, to not know is bad and to not wish
To know is [so absolutely] worst!
Oh, there’s much more that could be said
But I think at the moment, ‘nuff ‘ been read
Did not set out to write a long boring book
But just a short poem on how we, they forsook
Now, to digest this allegory and understand,
Just turn your listening eyes to 4:8 Philippians;
Be blessed with the clear message from above
And be motivated to ensure our Peace and Love.
