Sitting here on this early Christmas Eve,
doves of keloid memories fly my soul over
a reflective flight of mountaintops of joyful
times we found in the past year of the new
“Covid-greeking” trials and testing tribulations.
Today, despite “empty manger-like” tiring testing
times, I can—because we’re still together perpendicular to
earth—cheerfully fluff wings of beautiful memories of
jingling bells of happiness When every day was Christmas:-
Yes, when every day was Christmas and we all gleefully
gave and received presents of merry love—wrapped and
tied in heart-shaped bows—sharing the pains that only
the promised birth could heal and bring joy to a world
wrinkling in the sadness of life—
Yes, despite those times’ testing trials tribulations, and pains,
we still enjoyed life as if a Christmas tree rooted around with bright
presents of joy and the bells of our hearts jingling ecstatic harmonic
melodies decking the halls of our beings with boughs of holly...
Today, as we selectively gather in inoculated-spacing
of continuous tested times, let us again toast our glasses
of hope and eat the bread of Christmas faith as we wrap and
bow ourselves in Yuletide cheer; we still have the manger’s gift:
GOD’S
PEACE
AND
LOVE
