It was never me
And that hurts to admit
A placeholder
Hoping he gives
What I’m willing to submit
The assignment
While perfect
I wasn’t the designed
And to have and then lost
I cherish our time
An open heart
Memories gained
The hand on my lighter
The reigniter of my flame
I’d be lying ….
I’d be lying if I said there’s no pain
Bitterness no
I’ll refrain
Your heart wants who it wants
The easiest way that it can be explained
I wish you well
Signed
Your heaven , when things felt like hell

Beautiful. Ironically, we live in a world where many continue to reject precious gifts---preferring that their will be granted rather than that of God. Remain that "PLACEHOLDER" so powerfully visioned in the last line of this great poem. Thanks for the share, Blakesteven84. Love it! Peace and Love.
