the sound of the civil rights movement motivated people to fight for justice lift every voice and sing freedom songs like "we shall overcome" the power of song was the battle cries that helped empower and influence the people to overcome the shadow of darkness and bring light to the plight for a needed radical protest for change still nothing has changed we still fighting for the same damn thing caged in singing that same song over and over again at a loss for words looking through the lens victimize while they continue to win verdicts right before our eyes
