To personally choose loneliness
by whatever means is to acquire her
through submission to her power;
Which like all power, concedes nothing
without a struggle—a painful struggle:-
Thus, to prefer not to be surrounded by
others—who could become your friends—
is to choose to be surrounded by self-inflicted
pain—which is a choice of matter over mind.
To not want to be friendly is one thing;
to not want to be surrounded by kind ones
who want to be your friend, is another. Both
inflict the pain of the power of chosen loneliness.
It must be awfully frustrating to be in dire need
of attention that is sought just to be refused; such
is as if seeking expansion just to initiate restraint.
Indeed, while not to be given love is deemed bad;
to not have a craving to be loved, is much worst.
In the splendor of his graceful blessings of love,
knowledge, understanding, and wisdom, God has
also given us free will. If it is your will to be free of his
will to be loved, be aware that God and Love are One.
