It couldn’t protect him from the strength of her love.
She took every broken piece of his broken heart and slowly put them together.
What his book said he won’t put up with he did for her.
That one strike rule in that book was a warning for her.
That tainted love he was fighting for was fading because her love was greater.
He has no reason to fight for this love she gives because he is all he wants.
He talks on the phone and text her because she never misses a call or text.
