I AM ALSO A SONG...

CATEGORY

Views: 148

Hey, I am also

A song

And I am not

Afraid

To sing my

Own tune!

Now don’t

Think

Me arrogant;

You too,

Are a song

To be sung.

But

This song

Is about me;

Not you.

If you

Don’t want to hear

My song, just close

Your eyes:-

In introducing

My song,

I give the glory

To my God:-

I have witnessed

Another sunrise!

Hey, I’m here

6 full moons

After 80

Still being crooned

Perpendicular to

 The blessed ground!

Rhythmically here

Streaming each day to

My divine Creator

Beseeching to be

An instrument of his

Peace and a perpetual

Tune of his divine love…

Oh I am a song

Sung each day

In the service of

Almighty God

By being a soulful

Helpful render

To my neighbors:-

Look, I am a song

With lyrics of inspiration;

I am a song with ever

Sounding rhythms

Of divine hope

And faithful bars

Of never ending beats

Of liberation glory!

Oh I know the day

Is ever on the way

When I shall

Soon be done

With this troubled

World—

But until then,

May my echoes

Ever reverberate;

For I am a song

To be sung

With a gospel choir’s

Motivating chorus

Melodically echoing faith:-

And when

I’ve sung myself

For the last time,

May my God

Softly say:

“Well done song,

Well done…

Now take your bow

And rest.”
