Violence

CATEGORY

 Hit me,
I restrain
Hit me again,
I retain
Hit me three times
You I'll blame
Im tired of living in shame
Fighting back
Because I must protect myself
Must help myself
Must
Be better than I was raised
Thought violence
Was to blame
Was normal
But learned
That it was just horrible
Something used to belittle
An individuals worth
To make themselves feel empowered
Like a tower
They feel they stand
But coward is where they should land
Holding they're head high
While you remain with yours low
Disappearing in the shadows
While they shine in the light//
You used to be a leader
Not afraid to speak your mind
But now you can't even think for yourself
Making you feel like knowledge is bad for your health
and
Like you can't do better
Like they are the best
And
You were lucky
When you were chosen
That you were trash
Thrown out
And they are here to save you
Gave you
Life
A second chance//
But that's not the story
Not your story
You were meant for greatness
So shine with glory
Stand tall and embrace
something better
Greater
Yourself.
