As I sit here in thanksgiving
Of another blessed day,
I now dip my penning mind
Into the blood of my heart
To share the glory of God’s
Daily gifts to us in today’s
Treacherous ocean of time
With its tides of tribulations;
Risen tides of tribulations
That we’ve been able to lower
And flow into liberating estuaries
Unanchoring barges of oppression
And unshackling their mooring chains.
At the end of today’s challenging
Labor of love, I stepped out into
The chilly winds of the day’s dusting
And bright glowing beauty it canvassed.
Standing southward, I turned my head
Westward where I saw sunset coloring
The horizon With its glowing golden beauty:-
Who would have thought greater awe awaited?
Looking upward into the northern sky,
There resting and looking in a downward glow,
Was the beautiful bright reflecting gibbous moon
Touching up the canvassing of that which at last
I was able to truly vision and feel what is called twilight!
And it was in this twilight awareness
That I paused and gave God the thanks
For another day to rejoice and be glad in;
Giving Him the thanks for divine wisdom
And guidance in my labor of love—
Being in His service—by being of service
To my fellow beings in need of my service.
Then, I beseeched God’s traveling graces
That I may reach home safe and sound:-
Free from harm; free from causing harm;
And in the awareness of prevention of harm—
And that all will be found blessed in glory:-
(Amen…Peace And Love)
