Being afraid does not necessarily make
You’re a coward;
Being not afraid to right a wrong often
is the cause of that.
And looking behind does not keep you
from going forward;
This is all too often caused by a fearless
apathy setback.
Courage comes bearing awareness
of who and what you are doing;
Courage brings a unique ruthlessness
that keeps focus on where you’re going.
The uniqueness of courage is that often
it is the product of the viciousness of fear;
Fear that no amount of treachery can ever soften
nor cause one to lose that spirit power to persevere.
Imagine the power of courage fueled by supreme love;
challenging fear and its psychological conundrum.
Remember the lesson on love and fear sent from above;
enabling one to be released from apathy’s asylum.
Fear not the present pandemic dilemmas now before us;
rather, fear us not being ready and prepared for the fight.
There’s nothing worst than having won liberties going to rust;
let us courageously move onward doing what we know is right.
No, let us only fear turning around and going back to those days
when we were wrenched and chained like animals in a circus cage.
Let us only fear disappointing ancestors who were once slaves
but with less did so much—leaving us—little to do in this age.
Remember, we are chosen to walk in the footsteps left
on life’s waters;
Sailing to Noah shores led by that dove above pointing
with his beak.
Remember the lesson taught by our ancestral mothers
and fathers;
We are children of love and where love abides, fear will always
be weak.
Let’s forever be mindful of the words of MLK who walked waters
of fear…
[In our lifetime let us] “…constantly build dykes of courage to hold
back fear[now here]…”
[Indeed, let us ever be mindful that] “…courage breeds creative
self-affirmation…
Cowardice [always] produces [bewildered weakening] destructive
self-abnegation.”
My beloved Brothers and Sisters, let us be scripturally reminded
of the conclusion of fears matterings;
We need only fear any possibility of us not reflecting God’s liberating
love Jesus dwells within all of us:-
Be ever mindful that it is not our love that holds God to us but His bonding
love that binds us in all our gatherings;
And in Him, we shall ever be triumphant in trials and ever more conquerors
faithfully breastplated in His loving trust:-
