This poem goes out to those of you who
have never really cared for me and would
rather see me roasted over an open flame
Oh, isn't it a pity and isn't it a shame
That one day you're going
to look down underneath
Something that you thoroughly
enjoyed reading and see my name
then one day you're going to see
My 5 feet 11 inch healthy frame
Reciting a poem that I've laid claim
Then and only then I know that you
will be glad that you came.
You'll have no choice but to bask
In my newfound fame
Too bad for you I can't say the same
But it's all good because you are
The only one that you have to blame
When you look down and realize that
It is not a hoax a gimmick nor a game
As you willfully and wantingly peer
Down underneath something you emphatically
appreciated reading and read something that is
Not boring or lame.
Then and only then
Will you realize that I didn’t come to defile
desecrate or maim.
As you look down one day
underneath
Something you thoroughly
enjoyed reading and see my name
