"Have you ever been trapped? Lost in your own body? Lost in your own mind? Lost in time?" So desperate to escape this defiling and disfigured shape, as I hang like a cord from the drapes like crime tape as I watch society stacked up like sardines, like this was the planet of the apes, why this landscape is being raped, our privacy is raked, bruised and scraped, so take this stake and end my life as I fake my death and escaped myself as I hold this chain of events that I must break, but I'm not that eager to make a mistake as I move among these snakes, running right toward more headaches, more heartaches, my heart ache with each untruth, with each mistake, as I learned that time and youth don't wait, and that sometimes a saviour might come too late... Escape. Written by Sa Ra Safari Messiah Kamau
