Fields of dreams cannot become
As burnt forests of hideous nightmares
And pathways to progress must not
Become muddy roads through which
Nothing can pass to become something:-
It seems that progressive legislature
Only benefit the middle and upper classes;
Leaving the lower class like us struggling.
Today’s lower class now being black, brown,
And the growing lower white class we shadow.
Yes, today America has become ballooned
With the hands of poor whites being slapped down
With paddles of bigoted political deceptions
And junk fees piled upon them for keeping
The darker hued poor as if they were just junk:-
The phrase, “not anymore” must become
“To the finish line”, we must now be going;
We and our children must not be as junk.
Now is the time to give true meaning to
Equity, solidarity, and unity in America.
