In her cosmic and terrestrial
Equity,
Nature has given old winter
Time
To organize and do its frosting
Thing.
In her circadian rhythmic
Certainty,
She’s now toning out what’s left
Behind
As she continues to usher in lovely
Spring.
What winter didn’t crucify must wait
Another year;
For the resurrecting spring is now
Here.
Our lives have had their chilling winter
Of discontent;
Now we must pull it all together and
Spring anew!
No longer in the struggle can any be counted
As being absent;
God has saved and strengthened us for the work
We’ve yet to do.
So in the present resurrecting spring
In our life,
Let us be faithfully prepared for whatever
May arise;
For with our God forever watching over me
And you,
There is no evil in this world that we can’t
Undo.
Yes, the Lord is our light and our salvation; whom
Or what shall we fear?
Despite winter’s iniquities, it’s now spring in the struggle
And we are still here.
With renewed energy and life our eyes must remain
Steadfast on the graceful prize,
Our flourishing of faith—higher than hope—must be
As radiant as the coming sunrise.
