Setting: hidden among dense foliage

One of many of nature’s artists

Among the middle branches of the trees.

Searching for sustenance

A master of disguise. Continuously

Changing to fit in with a changing array

Of patterns/colors in its surroundings

Closing in every movement towards its prey

Swaying its body mimicking movement of the wind

In the forest, tracking every other action. Intent

Looking for the slightest movement

To betray a presence of other predators

Searching for an easy meal. Life!

Each one tuned to different stations

volume turned up to the sky

spreading the news

Just more of the daily Blues

Cain and Abel stories

The Not-Christian Right is getting uptight

Because Nazis and Terrorists

are joining their cause

Running like a river

Until we reach the ocean of life

When we run out of

The very idea

that you would be Forbidden

to know your history

to read for yourself

How to plant the seed

of a history you might use

to reconstruct an identity

before the creator

that you might be enabled

to take the necessary steps

to take you from the first

to the next

To learn about every war

we may ever hope to win

We must find our strength

we must know our enemy

Holding on by means

Exceeding my most extreme power limits

i soon realize… There’s no disgrace

Calling to a higher power

than i alone

To state my case…

Whenever i need to reinforce

My real or imagined strength

Beyond my limited ability

To meet the tasks i am called to undertake

To resist demonic forces at hand

When i must bend before i break

Taken to the place i must make my stand

And pray with whatever wisdom i may find

At the very moment i am called upon

To act upon what challenges Stand before me

The Watchful (Revised)

Not sure
How this whole thing went

from blessed life in the garden
to sup and dine with the divine…

To lost hope and an inability to speak
In the language of the love.

Perhaps, someone trusted with the gift
Got careless, lost or foolish …

got cast adrift

Lost faith and went astray, perhaps
Fell into bad company …got misaligned,

laid down with swine,
Sold their soul for cheap sex and wine

Abandoning all contact with the most high
The fountain of youth went dry…

And the blessed state of being which had existed
Between one sphere of influence and the next

Got corrupted/Left us… as adversaries
All civility …became lost in our missteps

As our willingness to understand …
slipped

Mistakes, became …
our new routine

Lost confid...

Synergistic(Revisited)

With Love Emotion
suggesting

Bonds stronger than
mere presence of mind

Soul-seeking
Raised to the power of Will

Rather

than surrender

Finding alternative
means of expression

While remaining true
to source

Bending time
Parting space

As Moses parting the Red Sea

Counting each our many blessings
While the worldly spin the dice

Never thinking twice

Playing the role
Of high rollers

from low places

Until the tests of time
expose their errors

Faster than their pencils
can invent tools

to circumvent

composite truth

Even greater than erasers
can change minds

Bend space Faster
than the pace

A sidewards glance, as if
by chance

A drop of water

Caught between tides
of greater things

While eddies within currents
Throughout the universe

impel energies to oceans
of universal flow

seismic drift

Dance stars to life
Kindled by the divine

To spontaneously ignite
Providing Light

An expression

of herds of camels
passing

through the eye
of a needle

to questions

As if Tasked

of creative energy

Repeating attempts to color the targets

In a gooey mess of endless speculation

To criminal passions piked liberally

with gratuitous violence

Demeaning their culture/influence

A Mothers love

A mothers love

is home based

Every child who knows

that familiar friendly face

Providing a warmth

and cuddle spot

Bursting with naturally inspired sustenance

With smooth curves

and that soft loving voice

The one who rocked us all

into being

By the Creators grace...

And taught us

all there is to know
