after rain there might be a rainbow

when the sun appears and shines

on your tears the promise of hope

never fails and it never will God is

still in control and will bless your

soul don't let the propaganda and

scandals of this world get you down

pick yourself up straighten your crown

and keep your feet on the ground

there's a war we can't see waged

against you and me but keep

standing your ground and watch

the mountain come crumbling

down when the trumpet sound

most of us here right now won't

be around but our spirit will bring it

down why should we fear when

we've been scared enough to

shake something up we got to

do better what's the the matter

with us people gone hate your

light leave it on for the thief in

the night coming for your precious

jewels keep your cool count one

to nine old souls remember

the last time and take note

of the fact that it happens

every time sharpen your steel

and polish your shine all is come to

the light and all will come back

to mind singing every lyric of

the song in time all will be well

everyone knows time do tell

and time waits for no one

there's a old say that goes you have to laugh to keep from crying I get it I'm laughing but not cause I want to cry for any particular reason you know that idiom it never fails it means it happens every time once we recognize we're out of our league it's wise to pursue a league of our own I'm smiling I have something to smile about that don't have nothing to do with what's going on in the world something I can't do nothing about on that note "Uh Oh" is an expression of alarm dismay and means it's too late "it's about to go down"

my distaste for voting season is people act like their talking to children telling them don't forget to brush their teeth asking them did they wash their hands telling them what they should do what they need to do what they have to do people act like they get paid to remind grown folk to vote who's going to know you did if they didn't see you do it
