Humanity managed to survive natures wrath

using guile and wit… working together

found ways that fit our needs

Kept on the run by a steady stream of hardship

Having the capacity to cooperate finding a way

Through the worst of it

Becoming ever greater by sharing resources

Our periods of cooperation and conflict

Propelling us forward

Using diverse sources and methods

Using fire and metal working,

wheels and horses

Brought education, learning science,

machinery agriculture

and still exceling at dealing

Death and destruction

Making great advances beyond other animals

By systems of commerce and communication

Creating the means for widespread success

For advancement in entertainment,

Comfort and production of goods

Effectively utilizing raw materials,

Logistics and  transportation

Yet, still being prone to hypocrisy, greed

Jealousy, hatred and violence,

With addiction, wars and diseases

Using religious practices to curb our ill nature

Even with Jesus for mankind’s salvation

Human behavior leaves room for doubt

Infantile conflicts and a sense of entitlement

Religious and racial intolerance

Settled by reliance

On guns

Deep powerful flowing message from beginning to end. They "literally" gave us the gun to shoot ourselves to the end, rather than to defend. A great awareness pen. ONE. Peace and Love.
