Years ago, they bombed our churches,
Often killing little innocent children;
Yet, few lawmakers—if any—seemed
To have given a concern:-
This era began with gunning down schools
Killing innocent children, teachers, and others.
Again it seems that few—if any—have taken
Time to give a hoot:-
Now bullets roam and echo in convenience stores,
Shopping malls, parks, and entertainment centers
And it still seems as though few—if any—seem
To give a poop:-
It’s high time the many cease “rolling down anger”
With hands raised to vote!
Least we too, will have been found by the many
To not have given a crap:-
Rather than the human waste they create, it’s time
To flush down the guns.
