Clearly shaken by his circumstances needing no more pain

time isn't being withheld from the gaps. He feels so safe at times

tho' the unbending mirror reflects its nature unshaken in it own pane.

In his daily walk his steps are chosen so very carefully

as guilt chooses him responsible for cracks in the sidewalk,

a murderer of crows by sight, of bugs to ants to roaches stepped upon.

Like a mole he then retreats inside of the mirror in solitary defeat.

His physical address is being yet again tested, measured, evaluated.

Knowing he is physically here only by a spiritual promise to forever be,

the belief in an only begotten son is required, and also commanded. Only then shall the breakfast of unashamed, guiltless, and fearless be eaten.<...

There's proof enough of who we are.

We shine upon all of life, doubtless,

shameless, valued, yet unmeasured, as

the star.

We courageously stand, reject and love

envy, whenever it's presented to us.

Holiness then shares its cloak, to wrap

around those that may not shine so, as

the star.

The cloak goes to the enduring life that love

to willingly stand, before God, God-fearing,

and know, they too, are without measure,

self treasured & completely available.

does mankind find time or the energy

to attract or put on something ugly?

Why keep on shooting and kneeing

spitting in the faces of youthful black?

An ego trip? A desire? Or a despair?

kill dreams of attaining things they lack.

Is it the color, that encircles all of life

where rain, snow, to thunder birth from?

Where lightning dance, stars glisten in

unmeasured or corralled to stand in freedom!

We cringe daily, mothers, brothers, sisters,

fathers, hiding not self or others to forgive,

shame-based has not enveloped the blackness

or it would close in on the lives in which we live.

Finding fault or reason does justice a disservice

it's as though the stinging bee needs to be stung,

as so many advocated...
