(A Keloid Flashback)
Love’s fire is like a quiet hot wind;
You can feel it but
you can’t hear it; you can feel it
But you can’t see it.
When your love invaded my heart,
it filled it with
A flowing spirit; fueling my heart like
Winds fuel a raft’s sail.
Indeed, love’s fire is always hot
And no cooling entity
Can match its flaming heat:-
Remember, Come on baby light my fire?”
You don’t need to make love
To feel her heat; she comes with it
“Love, sweet love”...is always hot.
True love is beyond all fear and doubting
And always seeks
The nourishing of self
As fire seeks fuel to keep burning hot:-
Let not your love be as the fire of hell
Rather, let your love be
As heaven’s warm sunshine:
As John’s Gospel love supreme:-
Such is the warm sweet love we should all want
To get a hold of us
And forever keep warming us;
Soothing our precious souls.
