(A Spiritual Of Thoughts)
The heart is the repository
of spiritual love;
the mind, the repository
of needed reality.
The heart knows no hate
and does not have it;
the mind is aware of hate
and sees its negativity.
In the heart, it is deemed
that where love is, hate can’t be
In the mind, it is conceived that hate
is evil and cannot ever be loved;
The mind deems hate oppressive
and cannot be forgiven.
In the repository of life are
both floating love and hate
challenging the rationality
of both the heart and the mind.
How rational can it be to love
oppression and to hate liberation?
How rational can it be to love
your enemy and hate your liberator?
In the repository of life,
conflict often boils between
heart and mind; both having
to navigate the cognitive leveling
in their nature being; both heart
and mind having to contend with
desires and necessities:-
The resolving of heart and mind conflict,
requires pours from the repository
of the soul and its divine spirit.
With respect to the spirit and the soul,
scripture says much; reminding us that
we must keep our “...heart with all diligence…
For…realizing emotionality, we should know
That “out of [the heart] are issues of life.”
Therefore, we are also admonished
to get wisdom and understanding:-
“Wisdom is the principle thing…”
and getting it, get understanding:-
Thus, while we must believe deep
in our hearts that we shall overcome,
it is without hesitation of mind that
we must ensure such, with peace of mind.
And that peace of mind can only come
with hating oppression and loving liberty;
For it is only in hating oppression and
loving liberation that forgiveness is giveable.
We as an oppressed people must make it
abundantly clear to our evil oppressors:
We are on the battlefield of the Lord;
and as Cone echoes, we will not be distracted;
In no way can they halt our liberation destiny
by their obscene talk of love’s reconciliation.
Finally, once more and again, let us,
deep in our hearts and minds, be aware
that in being engaged on the battlefield
of the Lord for true and full emancipation,
begins with the liberation of the mind.
