“A body was found of a murdered little girl“

She was only thirteen
a rouge little queen
who felt the bite of life and society.

She had family situations,
she had emotional complications,
she ran back and forth from
shelter to foster homes never having
a family or a place to call her very own.

She grew close to everyone at the Miami Bridge
Shelter, a place she called home, before we could
really get to know her, she was gone.

She was stubborn at times, didn’t really listen
to people’s advise and on August 15th, the year
2000 somebody took her life.

She was found broken, bruised and raped.

Her body was found by the portables of Edison Sr. high.

She was left there to die,
she was found with no clothes on her body.

No one has been pinpointed for the murder
of this child that touched so many lives.

Maybe there can be a lesson to be learned
after all.

But what a tragic way to learn a lesson
instead of the children of today listening
to the advise of the older Generation.

A body was found of a murdered little girl.

This unfortunately was a real and true event, and she was a young lady that I counseled, and the a few days before, I told her not to go out to that school. But she did and was murdered.... So, I felt that I haf to write about it.

Thanks, naze00011. One more reason why after 40 years, I still find myself in the classroom engaged in labors of love because of where today's children are being so blindsided. You can retire/die, but the work goes on! ONE. Peace and Love.
