Class of 1910 of Texas College HBCU
To my classmates I have written a poem in it goes like this
It’s been a long time coming, as we walk through the darkness of our sunrise. As we sit here looking at the sunset of our tears, We asked Our Lord too
Dry My Tears of beating
Dry My Tears of hanging
Dry My Tears of discrimination
Dry My Tears of having A Dream
Dry My Tears of Being Black
Dry My Tears of Suffering
Dry My Tears of Anger
Dry My Tears of Love
Dry My Tears of Happiness
Dry My Tears of Faith
Dry My Tears of My Heart and Soul
Dry My Tears Oh Lord
Dry Our Tears God as it a been long time coming,
We Are Masters Of Our Fate, We Are The Captain Of My Soul. WE ARE: Black Excellence, Black Educator, Black Creators, Black Greatness, and Black Love?d, Our journey is not done.
