Mind Flows

sometimes i think back to when i got broken, so many things changed, many words went unspoken. i try to keep my head up, to stop myself from crying. but to be honest, on the inside i’m dying. the flame of my heart slowly begins to fade. my mind is held captive to an enemy named rage. i get caught up and trapped, like i’m living in a cage. but who is the real enemy? is it myself? or the man that did this to me? my aggression is now passive and the hurt is so massive. it weighs me down like an anchor, dragging me into the depths of depression. it’s getting too hard for me to keep expressing. my true feelings won’t unfold, another story gone untold. this rhyme is seeming to get so old. i build myself up just to crumble down again. it’s like this nightmare that never seems to end. when will my new story begin ? a new chapter full of pure happiness and prosperity. God i really just need clarity. i close my eyes and see redemption and new beginning...

low vibrational

my self esteem is not even as high as i make it seem

i get so caught up in the attention at times 

then i realize how i feel i’m worth less than two dimes. 

like i’m sorta kinda trapped in my mind 

but in reality i know if we take a break and rewind 

i don’t really know where my heads at 

i look at myself and think “eww people like that” 

see i always show i need to be by myself 

but i’m trapped inside my mind steady screaming for help 

but no one hears me 

and at times i really do get weary 

all the alcohol & thc man that’s not even the real me

i’m a smart girl 

the good one

the one that rarely has fun 

and it’s funny that i view myself in such a bad way

when i know i am beautiful at the end of the day

feeling misunderstood and unheard

from sunrise to nightfall the tears shed

laying in a pool of sorrows that fill my bed 

mixed emotions and spiritual warfare 

is all that replays in my head

like a song gone unsung

like a story forever untold 

the anger builds up in my lungs

and there’s not much more i can hold

you see every day is a battle

between myself and my mind

i think of my pain as something special

constantly yearning for peace
